This Privacy Policy explains how Yoga ("the App", "we", "us"), developed by Boris Serzhanovich, handles information. Yoga is an iOS app for guided yoga practice, pose feedback, mindfulness, and progress tracking.
1. Information the App handles
Camera and pose data
If you grant camera access, Yoga uses the front camera during AI-guided practice. Apple's Vision framework analyzes video frames on your device to detect body and hand positions and provide pose feedback. Camera frames are not saved and are not uploaded to our servers.
Health and fitness data
If you grant Apple Health permission, Yoga can read mindful sessions and yoga workouts and can save completed mindful sessions, yoga workouts, and related active energy to Apple Health. Health data is used only to provide the App's health and practice features. It is not used for advertising and is not sent to Firebase.
Profile, practice, and leaderboard data
Yoga stores your display name, practice minutes, streak, XP, and level in Yoga-specific Google Firebase Firestore records so the community leaderboard can work. Your display name and leaderboard statistics may be visible to other Yoga users. Firebase assigns an anonymous user ID; the App does not require an email address or password.
Analytics and diagnostics
Yoga uses Firebase Analytics to understand feature use and Firebase Crashlytics to diagnose crashes and errors. This may include an anonymous Firebase user ID, device and app information, product interactions, performance data, crash logs, and limited practice event details such as session duration, pose identifier, or pose accuracy score. We do not use this information to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.
Data stored on your device
Your journal entries, profile photo or preset avatar, mood, onboarding preferences, session history, achievements, course progress, and most practice progress are stored locally on your device. Journal text and profile photos are not uploaded to Firebase by Yoga.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, Yoga schedules practice reminders on your device. Notification permission and delivery are managed by iOS.
Purchases
Yoga is free. The App does not offer in-app purchases or subscriptions and does not collect payment information.
2. How information is used
We use information handled by Yoga to:
- provide pose analysis, guided practice, progress tracking, and Apple Health integration;
- show community leaderboard results;
- maintain app reliability and understand feature use;
- respond to support and privacy requests.
3. Third-party services
Yoga uses:
- Apple Camera and Vision frameworks for on-device pose analysis;
- Apple HealthKit for health and workout data you authorize;
- Google Firebase Authentication for anonymous sign-in;
- Google Firebase Firestore for leaderboard and practice statistics;
- Google Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics for usage analytics and diagnostics.
These providers process information under their own privacy terms.
4. Data sharing and tracking
We do not sell personal data. Yoga does not use data to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies. Leaderboard information is shared with other users only as part of the leaderboard feature. Service providers process data only to operate, secure, analyze, and support the App.
5. Delete Yoga data
The "Delete my Yoga data" action requests deletion of Yoga-specific cloud records, including the Yoga leaderboard entry and Yoga statistics, then clears locally stored Yoga progress, sessions, journal entries, profile data, course completion, achievements, and pending Yoga reminders. It replaces the local anonymous session so the App can continue to work.
This action does not delete the shared Firebase Authentication record or data used by other apps in the same Firebase project. If cloud deletion fails, Yoga keeps the current session and local data so you can retry without losing access to the Yoga cloud records. Removing Yoga does not remove information already saved to Apple Health. You can review or delete that information in the Health app and manage Yoga's Health access in iOS Settings or the Health app.
6. Data retention
Local data remains on the device until you delete Yoga data, remove the App, or erase the device. Yoga-specific Firebase records remain until the in-app deletion flow removes them or deletion is required under applicable law. Analytics and diagnostics may be retained by Firebase under its applicable retention settings. Apple controls retention of information stored in Apple Health.
7. Children's privacy
Yoga is not directed to children under 13 or the minimum age required in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data, or object to certain processing. Contact us to make a request. We may need information that allows us to locate the relevant anonymous Firebase record.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when Yoga's features or data practices change. The date above shows the latest revision.
